UW-Oshkosh Women's Basketball To Hold Alumni Day

Fans have another opportunity to cheer on Titans of the past and present when UW-Oshkosh holds its annual "Women's Basketball Alumni Day" on Saturday (Feb. 7) in Kolf Sports Center.

Festivities begin with the alumni game at 11 a.m. Among the former Titans taking part in the contest are Michelle Boeder, Kay (Mikolajczak) Chmielewski, Shelby Churchill, Alison (Cesnovar) Fett, Katie Kitzke, Becky Knapp, Jennie (Vosters) Kraftzenk, Rachel (Lachecki) Sackett, Sarah Stecker, Whitney (Tyriver) Stenbroten, Stephanie Warnke and Megan Wenig. 

At 3 p.m., collegiate basketball takes over when 21st-ranked and conference-leading UW-Oshkosh hosts UW-River Falls. The teams last played on Jan. 7 and the result featured the Titans leaving River Falls with a 59-51 victory.

At halftime, all former Titans in attendance will be introduced. The group includes players Amy (Wing) Barber, Jessica Davis and Melanie Leet along with assistant coach Pam Ruder from the 1995 UW-Oshkosh team that compiled a 28-3 record and advanced to the title game of the NCAA Division III Championship.

There will be an alumni social at the Ground Round at River's Edge (1 North Main Street) following UW-Oshkosh's contest with UW-River Falls.
