Coach Fischer To Appear On D3hoops.com’s Hoopsville

UW-Oshkosh head women's basketball coach Brad Fischer will be a featured guest Thursday (Jan. 29) on Hoopsville, the premier show for anything and everything related to NCAA Division III basketball from D3hoops.com.

Hoopsville is doing a day-long marathon from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (CST) to celebrate Division III basketball. The super-sized broadcast will help fans gear up for the last month of the regular season and the upcoming conference and national tournaments. The broadcast is also being held in conjunction with a fundraising effort to help the show.

Fischer, who has guided this year's Titans to a 15-3 record and a No. 23 national ranking, will be interviewed at 6 p.m. (CST). Through games played of Jan. 26, UW-Oshkosh ranked eighth in the NCAA Division III in turnovers (13.1), 14th in assist-turnover ratio (1.12), 27th in field goal percentage (43.1), 28th in scoring margin (15.7), 33rd in won-lost percentage (82.4) and 41st in scoring defense (53.9).

Dave McHugh is the creator and host of Hoopsville, which broadcasts online out of McHugh's studio in his Baltimore (Md.) area home. The show airs each Sunday and Thursday throughout the basketball season at 6 pm (CST).

Each show, McHugh talks to coaches, players, administrators, reporters, and experts from around the country for their take on Division III basketball news.

Fans can watch Coach Fischer on Hoopsville by visiting www.d3hoopsville.com. Fans can interact with McHugh during the show by email (hoopsville@d3hoops.com), Twitter (www.twitter.com/d3hoopsville) or Facebook (www.facebook.com/Hoopsville).

Now in its 12th season, Hoopsville is looking to raise more than $5,000 to help maintain the show. Last year's fundraising efforts raised more than $11,000 which helped replace aging gear and equipment and pay for additional travel for the show. It also helped launch a new program called "The #WhyD3 Show" which is dedicated to covering the student-athletes throughout Division III.

Those wishing to contribute can do so by visiting the fundraising page at http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/hoopsville-campaign-part-2.
