Titans Take Second Place At Gene Davis Invitational

The UW-Oshkosh men's cross country team took second place at the Lawrence University Gene Davis Invitational held Saturday (Oct. 12) at the Reid Memorial Golf Course in Appleton.

St. Norbert College won the nine-team meet with 57 points while UW-Oshkosh finished second behind the Green Knights with 73.

Rounding out the top five teams were third-place Lawrence University with 95 points, fourth-place Ripon College with 99 and fifth-place UW-Stevens Point with 116.

UW-Oshkosh was led by Andrew Muskevitsch, who completed the 8,000-meter race with a seventh-place time of 27:02.

Other Titans finishing in the top 50 individual listings were 14th-place Noah O'Neill in 27:23, 17th-place Noah Bruehl in 27:27, 20th-place Jason Ford in 27:35, 31st-place Henry Laste in 27:49, 36th-place Aaron Dorsey in 27:57, 42nd-place Austin Baker in 28:07 and 47th-place Bob Szymanski in 28:19.

UW-Oshkosh also had Parker Scheld finish 55th with a time of 28:32 and Skyler Yunk 59th in 28:41.

The meet's top five runners included first-place Joe Kortenhof and fifth-place Cullen Allard from Lawrence University. Kortenhof ran to a winning time of 25:51 and Allard to a performance of 26:41.

Josh Janusiak, running unattached, finished second among the meet's 114 runners with his time of 26:12. St. Norbert College's Joe Gasick placed third in 26:37 and Ripon College's David Potter fourth in 26:40.

UW-Oshkosh will host the Kollege Town Sports Invitational next Saturday (Oct. 19) at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne.
