UW-Oshkosh Finishes Third At Titan Fall Classic

UW-Oshkosh finished third among five men's cross country teams at the Titan Fall Classic held Friday (Sept. 20) at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne.

The Titans' top finisher in the field of 82 runners was Andrew George, who placed seventh with an 8,000-meter time of 26:52.

UW-Oshkosh had eight more runners finish in the top 35 as Andrew Rathkamp placed 12th in 27:22, Spencer Muffler 14th in 27:31, Jason Ford 16th in 27:35, Steven Potter 17th in 27:47, Mitchell Bradford 19th in 28:04, Noah O'Neill 21st in 28:15, Andrew Strasser 32nd in 28:42 and Noah Bruehl 35th in 28:45.

Other Titans finishing in the top 60 listings were 40th-place Joe Kehoe (28:56), 52nd-place Aaron Dorsey (29:19) and 55th-place Austin Baker (29:24).

David Fassbender of UW-Whitewater won the individual title with a time of 25:45 while Joe Kortenhof of Lawrence University placed second in 26:00.

UW-Oshkosh scored 61 points to earn third place in the team competition.

UW-Stevens Point won the team title with 32 points while UW-Whitewater finished second with 46, Lawrence University fourth with 106 and Ripon College fifth with 131.

UW-Oshkosh will compete at the University of Minnesota's Roy Griak Invitational next Saturday (Sept. 28) in Falcon Heights, Minn.
