Grant Selected As WIAC Track & Field Athlete Of The Week

The WIAC chose UW-Oshkosh's Jaylen Grant as one of its two Kwik Trip Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week award winners for meets held Feb. 17-23.

Grant, the league's top track performer, earned this season's second-fastest 60-meter dash time in the NCAA Division III when he won the event at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge held Feb. 22.

UW-Oshkosh swept the top-four places in the 60-meter dash as Grant defeated 50 other sprinters with his winning and school-record time of 6.81 seconds. UW-Oshkosh's Robert Ogbuli finished second to Grant with a time of 6.90 seconds.

UW-Oshkosh, ranked No. 1 in the NCAA Division III by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, won its largest home meet of the season with 157.5 points. UW-Eau Claire finished second in the 12-team meet with 98.5 points while UW-Stevens Point placed third with 82 and UW-Stout fourth with 69.

Tom Kohn of UW-Stevens Point was selected as the WIAC's Field Athlete of the Week.
