Titans Sweep WIAC Swimming & Diving Athlete Of The Week Awards

UW-Oshkosh swept the WIAC Kwik Trip Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week awards as Jarrett Lieder and Matt Wilke were recognized for their performances in meets held Dec. 16 - Jan. 5.

Lieder was named the league's best swimmer and Wilke the conference's top diver.

Lieder won all four of his swims as UW-Oshkosh lost a 165-73 decision to UW-Stevens Point on Jan. 3 before posting a 123-95 win over Lawrence University on Jan. 4.

In UW-Oshkosh's home loss to UW-Stevens Point, Lieder was the winner in the 500- and 1,000-yard freestyles with times of 4:54.95 and 10:08.88, respectively.

During the Titans' road win over Lawrence University, Lieder swam to victories in the 50- and 500-yard freestyles with times of 22.28 seconds and 4:55.69, respectively, while helping Jack Miller, Andrew Park and Josiah Vandenberg win the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:32.86.

Wilke went unbeaten during the diving competition in both meets.

Wilke scored 310.65 points to win the 1- and 316.95 to win the 3-meter diving events against UW-Stevens Point. He then swept both diving events against Lawrence University by totaling 316.60 points off the 1-meter board and 340.65 off the 3-meter plank.

Wilke has been recognized as the WIAC Men's Diving Athlete of the Week 15 times during his career, including four times this season. Lieder has received the conference's Swimming Athlete of the Week award twice this season and four times overall.
