WIAC Names Wilke Diving Athlete Of The Week

UW-Oshkosh's Matt Wilke was selected as the WIAC Kwik Trip Men's Diving Athlete of the Week for events held Oct. 14-20.

Wilke, who earned his 12th career WIAC Athlete of the Week award, finished fourth in both the 1- and 3-meter diving events at the Wisconsin College Showcase held Oct. 19 in Brown Deer.

Wilke compiled scores of 258.40 in the 1-meter category and 277.55 in the 3-meter section.

UW-Whitewater swept both diving titles as Brayden Schachle won the 1-meter event with a score of 288.65 and Matthew Mitchell the 3-meter competition with a figure of 317.90.

The non-scoring meet featured NCAA Division I teams UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee and UW-Oshkosh's NCAA Division III rivals Beloit College, Carthage College, Lawrence University, UW-La Crosse and UW-Whitewater.

UW-La Crosse's Hans Hover was selected as the WIAC's Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week.
