Falcons Defeat Titans In Season Opener

Dalton Anderson won two races as UW-Oshkosh fell to UW-River Falls, 117-96, in a men's swimming and diving meet on Saturday (Oct. 19) in River Falls.

Anderson touched the wall first in both the 100-yard freestyle (48.87) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:01.94).

The Titans also received victories from Andrew Bores in the 50-yard freestyle at 24.01 and Sam Green in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:31.81. UW-Oshkosh then won the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:34.62.

Green added a second-place mark of 2:00.07 in the 200-yard freestyle. During the 100-yard freestyle, Brian Stoffel followed Anderson with a runner-up score of 53.84.

Other second-place finishes for the Titans came from Cole Becker in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:02.17, Evan DuVall in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:09.42, Nelson Figueroa in the 100-yard butterfly at 1:00.61 and Nick Krueger in the 1,000-yard freestyle at 12:32.31.

UW-Oshkosh takes on Carroll University in Albee Hall on Saturday (Oct. 26).
