Fravert Collects Fourth WIAC Weekly Basketball Award Of Season

The WIAC chose UW-Oshkosh's Adam Fravert as its Kwik Trip Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for games played Jan. 20-26. It is Fravert's fourth WIAC weekly award this season, following selections for the periods of Nov. 4-10, Dec. 16-Jan. 5 and Jan. 13-19.

Fravert averaged 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to help UW-Oshkosh (12-6, 6-1 WIAC) to wins of 105-95 over UW-Stevens Point and 73-71 over UW-Whitewater. The two UW-Oshkosh victories moved the defending NCAA Division III and WIAC champion Titans into sole possession of first place in the league standings with seven contests remaining.

Fravert compiled 46 points in the two games by shooting 45.5 percent (15-33) from the field and converting 12 of 14 (85.7 percent) free throws. He made 4 of 15 (26.7 percent) 3-point shots while totaling 20 rebounds (17 defensive), 10 assists, three blocked shots and two steals.

In UW-Oshkosh's home win over UW-Stevens Point on Jan. 22, Fravert scored 22 points with 10 rebounds and six assists in 38 minutes of playing time. He shot 6 of 16 from the field and 7 of 8 from the free throw line.

During the Titans' road victory over UW-Whitewater on Jan. 25, Fravert counted 24 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots for his third straight and 20th career double-double. His 36 minutes of activity also featured 9 of 17 shooting from the field and 5 of 6 shooting on free throws.
