Rude Named WIAC Pitcher Of The Week

UW-Oshkosh's Adam Rude was named the WIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played April 27 - May 3.

Rude started one game and made two relief appearances in earning a 2-0 record with one save.

Rude allowed just three hits, all singles, during his 10.2 scoreless innings on the mound. He struck out five batters and walked two.

Rude's lone start was a one-hit, nine-inning shutout of Lawrence University on April 28. He held the Vikings hitless until a leadoff single in the eighth inning. Rude struck out four batters during UW-Oshkosh's 7-0 victory.

Rude also pitched two-thirds of the 10th and final inning to collect the win during the Titans' 8-7 victory over UW-Platteville on May 3. He returned to the mound later in the day and pitched one scoreless inning to record the save during UW-Oshkosh's 9-6 win over the Pioneers.

UW-La Crosse's Alex Cordova was chosen as the WIAC Baseball Position Player of the Week.
