FloTrack To Livestream NCAA Cross Country Championships
FloSports, the innovator in live digital sports and original content, will provide live and on-demand subscription coverage of Saturday’s (Nov. 17) NCAA Division III Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Championships on FloTrack.org.
The championships, which are being hosted by UW-Oshkosh at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, begin with 38th edition of the women’s 6,000-meter race at 11:15 a.m. (CST) and conclude with the 46th version of the men’s 8,000-meter race at 12:15 p.m. (CST). UW-Oshkosh previously hosted the championships in 1999, 2001 and 2015.
This year’s event will be comprised of student-athletes from 109 different institutions hailing from 27 different states. Both championship races will be feature 32 teams and 280 total competitors. Host UW-Oshkosh will be represented by graduate student Evlyn Noone in the women’s race and sophomores Lucas Weber and Cody Chadwick in the men’s race.
At last year’s championship, North Central College (Ill.) claimed its second straight and division-record 18th overall men’s national title by scoring 57 points to easily outpace runner-up UW-La Crosse’s total of 196. On the women’s side, Johns Hopkins University (Md.) secured its second straight and fifth national championship in the past six seasons with 96 points while UW-Eau Claire finished a distant second with 191.
This year’s coverage by FloTrack will feature enhanced production of both the men’s and women’s races. In anticipation of the NCAA postseason coverage, FloTrack has featured season-long content, including weekly rankings, team features, editorial features and podcasts.
Joining the broadcast in the role of Division III analyst for the second straight year is Johnny Crain, a former NCAA Cross Country All-American at North Central College.
