2020 Hall of Fame Postponed

The UW-Oshkosh athletic department's 2020 Hall of Fame festivities originally scheduled for October have been postponed indefinitely.

The timeline necessary to satisfactorily complete the UW-Oshkosh Hall of Fame selection and celebration process has been impeded due to scheduling conflicts as a result of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

"The UW-Oshkosh Hall of Fame Committee prides itself in providing our inductees the best possible experience," said Darryl Sims, chair of the Hall of Fame committee and UW-Oshkosh assistant chancellor and director of athletics. "We have an obligation to adhere to the traditions and standards that make our Half of Fame events special. We also look forward to celebrating and honoring our outstanding former Titan student-athletes and coaches in the future."

The 2020 Hall of Fame processes and festivities were originally scheduled to include nomination and selection periods, press releases, procurement of awards, inductee recognition at the Titans' home football game Oct. 3 and a ceremony Oct. 4 at UW-Oshkosh's Culver Family Welcome Center.

The UW-Oshkosh Hall of Fame, comprised of 211 members, was established in 1974 to pay tribute and give deserved acknowledgement to former athletes, coaches and friends of the University. It is also intended to enhance school tradition by honoring those people who have exhibited exceptional ability or given distinctive recognition to the UW-Oshkosh athletics program while on campus or since graduation.
