Lohrenz First, UW-Oshkosh Second At Titan Fall Classic

Led by the winning run of Hannah Lohrenz, UW-Oshkosh finished second among five women's cross country teams at the Titan Fall Classic held Friday (Sept. 20) at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne.

Lohrenz defeated 60 other runners with her 6,000-meter time of 23:46. She shaved 40 seconds off her fifth-place time of 24:26 at last year's meet.

Lohrenz was followed across the finish line by a trio of UW-Stevens Point runners - Georgia Harrison who placed second with a time of 23:59, Catie Gage who placed third in 24:24 and Michelle Petkovsek who placed fourth in 24:25.

The Titans had six other top-20 finishers as Elizabeth Reddeman placed sixth in 24:34, Alexandria Demco 10th in 24:53, Meygan Benzing 12th in 25:03, Amanda Van Den Plas 13th in 25:09, Libby Geisness 16th in 25:23, Tayah Cunningham 19th in 25:39, Melissa Srnka 23rd in 26:06 and Tricia Cich 24th in 26:10.

UW-Oshkosh also had Lauren Urban finish 31st with a time of 26:29, Megan Berg 34th in 26:55 and Alexis Reichardt 43rd in 28:35.

UW-Oshkosh earned its second-place team finish by totaling 42 points.

UW-Stevens won the team title with 28 points while UW-Whitewater placed third with 74, Ripon College fourth with 104 and Lawrence University fifth with 134.

UW-Oshkosh travels to Falcon Heights, Minn., for next Saturday's (Sept. 28) University of Minnesota Roy Griak Invitational.
