Titans Victorious In Home Opener

The UW-Oshkosh women's cross country team celebrated a first-place finish at the Titan Fall Classic held Friday (Sept. 21) at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne.

UW-Oshkosh scored 18 points to run away with the victory in its first home race of the season. Lawrence University finished second in the four-team meet with 53 points while Ripon College placed third with 57 and Illinois Institute of Technology fourth with 108.

UW-Oshkosh's Evlyn Noone led the Titans on the 6,000-meter course with a second-place time of 22:49. UW-Oshkosh swept the next three finishes as Amanda Van Den Plas placed third with a time of 24:02, Alexis Reichardt fourth in 24:06 and Hannah Lohrenz fifth in 24:26.

The Titans also had Ashton Keene finish ninth among the meet's 32 runners with a time of 24:45.

UW-Oshkosh owned finishes 13 through 17 as Tayah Cunningham placed 13th with a time of 25:51, Breanna Van Den Plas 14th in 25:53, Melissa Srnka 15th in 26:02, Megan Berg 16th in 26:31 and Allison Chen 17th in 26:35.

Unattached and former Titan runner Cheyenne Moore was awarded the meet's individual title with a time of a 22:10.

UW-Oshkosh looks to capture another win next Friday (Sept. 28) at the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational in Colfax.
