Jenkins Leads Titans At Notre Dame Invitational

Sonny Jenkins finished in 121st place Friday at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Ind. to pace the UW-Oshkosh women's cross country team. The Titans finished 24th in the team standings.

Kylee Verhaaselt had the second-best time for UW-Oshkosh, clocking in at 19:41.9, behind Jenkins' 19:36.3.

Erica Munyan finished 144th and Leah Rendflesh placed 146th with times of 20:00.4 and 20:01.9, respectively.

Finishing 155th for the Titans was Kristen Linzmeier at 20:17.0.

Danica Harrison finished 163rd with a time of 20:37.3 and Mariah McMullen finished 167th to round out the Titans with a time of 20:53.5.

UMKC's Courtney Frerichs finished with the top individual time, clocking in at 17:18.2.

Eastern Michigan's Victoria Voronko placed second with a time of 17:21.9, while Sadie Darnell and Kristen Levi, who finished third and fourth, led Southern Illinois to the team title.

The Salukis had three top-10 finishers and finished with a score of 52 to win the competition.

UW-Oshkosh will compete again Oct. 19, when they host the Brooks Invitational at Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne.
