Stockheimer Leads Titans At UW-Oshkosh Open
Kristin Stockheimer (So. • West Salem)
took 23rd place to lead all UW-Oshkosh runners during a women's
cross country meet the Titans hosted on Friday (Oct. 22) at the
Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne.
The non-scoring event also featured participants from Mount Mary
College, UW-Platteville, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Whitewater, NCAA
Division II UW-Parkside and NCAA Division I University of
Wisconsin.
Stockheimer ran her way around the 5,000-meter course in a time of
20:36. The Titans had two other runners finish in the top 30 as
Lauren Pinzl (So. • Mercer) placed 26th in 20:49 and Mariah
McMullen (Fr. • Byron, Ill.) 29th in 20:57.
The University of Wisconsin owned the top six finishers, including
Liga Blyholder who won the race with a time of 17:54. The Badgers
also had Karen Greuel finish second in 18:06, Lavinia Jurkiewicz
third in 18:10, Karlye Wolff fourth in 18:11, Ashley Beutler fifth
in 18:21 and Rachel McNally sixth in 18:34.
Other UW-Oshkosh competitors in the meet were Alex Nutter (Fr.
• Fennimore), Gabrhael Walman (Fr. • Franklin), Carlyn
Brown (Jr. • Belleville), Kelsey Sweeney (So. • Verona),
Jennifer Dedolph (Fr. • Tigerton) and Alli Weil (So. •
Cottage Grove). Nutter finished 43rd among the 70 runners who
finished the race with a time of 21:39, while Walman placed 48th in
22:01, Brown 50th in 22:08, Sweeney 52nd in 22:15, Dedolph 54th in
22:23 and Weil 62nd in 23:10.
UW-Oshkosh, which rested several of its top runners in Friday's
meet, competes at the WIAC Championship on Oct. 30 in
Colfax.
