Elstner Named WIAC Volleyball Player Of The Week

The WIAC has selected UW-Oshkosh left-side hitter Tina Elstner as its Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for matches held Oct. 17-23.

Elstner hit .256 with 58 kills, 37 digs, seven blocks and five service aces as UW-Oshkosh won three of its four matches, including victories over 12th-ranked UW-Stevens Point and 16th-ranked Elmhurst College (Ill.).

In UW-Oshkosh's 3-1 victory over UW-Stevens Point on Oct. 19, Elstner hit .191 with 14 kills, seven digs and two blocks. During the Titans' 3-1 triumph over Elmhurst College on Oct. 22, Elstner hit .410 with 19 kills and 13 digs.

Elstner also hit .234 with 15 kills, 12 digs and two service aces during UW-Oshkosh's 3-0 victory over Loras College (Iowa) on Oct. 21.

Bri Piepenbrok, a defensive specialist/libero from UW-Stevens Point, was chosen as the WIAC's Defensive Player of the Week.
