Four Titans Bestowed All-America Track & Field Honors

UW-Oshkosh's Morgan Florek, Libby Geisness, Hannah Lohrenz and Emma Warr have each earned NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track & Field All-America accolades from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Normal policies dictate that USTFCCCA All-America honors are awarded to the top eight finishers in each individual and relay event at the Division III Indoor Championship. However, due to the world-wide coronavirus pandemic and the cancellation of the national meet, all 675 student-athletes declared and initially accepted into the 2020 championship were named All-Americans.

The top 20 declared student-athletes in each individual event and the top 12 teams in the relay events were set to compete at the Division III Men's & Women's Championship on March 13-14 in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Florek, a junior, was seeded 15th in the 20-pound weight throw for the Division III Championship. Her season-best measurement of 57-2 1/4 was recorded at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge held Feb. 22. Florek finished fifth in the 20-pound weight throw at the WIAC Championship held Feb. 28-29 in Kolf Sports Center

Geisness, a freshman, won the 800-meter run at the WIAC Championship with a time of 2:16.03. She was seeded 20th in the 800-meter run for the Division III Championship following her season-best time of 2:15.76 at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge.

Lohrenz, a senior, was seeded fifth in the mile run for the Division III Championship. She qualified for the national meet after her season-best time of 4:59.86 at the Wartburg College (Iowa) Final Qualifier held March 4. Lohrenz finished third in the mile run at the WIAC Championship.

Warr, a freshman, was seeded 11th in the pole vault for the Division III Championship. She earned the ranking after leaping to a season-best height of 12-3 1/2 at the Carthage College Final Qualifier held March 6. Warr was a second-place finisher at the WIAC Championship.

UW-Oshkosh owns a division-record nine indoor national championships. The Titans claimed their first-place finishes in 1994, 1995, 1996, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2011, 2013 and 2014. UW-Oshkosh also finished as the national runner-up a record seven times while earning a total of 20 top-four trophies since placing second in 1990.
