All-Americans Moore, Wrensch Headline Titan Results At National Meet

Lauren Wrensch and Cheyenne Moore garnered All-America honors to highlight UW-Oshkosh's performances at the NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship on Friday and Saturday (March 8-9) in Boston, Mass.

Wrensch finished third in the long jump at the national meet with a distance of 18-11 3/4, while Moore placed sixth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:50.79 to become an indoor All-American for the first time.

Wrensch, who earned her first All-America honor, also finished 10th in the 400-meter run with a time of 57.54 seconds and 16th in the 200-meter dash with a season-best time of 24.94.

UW-Oshkosh's Amanda Van Den Plas placed 18th in the mile run with a time of 5:11.81 during her national championship debut.

UW-Oshkosh, which owns a Division III-record nine national titles, finished 27th in the team standings with nine points. The Titans have scored at least three points at each of the past 34 national meets.

The Division III Championship individual winners included Isabel Maletich from University of Chicago (Ill.) in the long jump with a leap of 19-4 3/4, Gabrielle Noland from Loras College (Iowa) in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.34, Sarah King from George Fox University (Ore.) in the 400-meter run with a time of 54.66, Emily Bryson from Brandeis University (Mass.) in the mile run with a time of 4:45.80 and Kaitlyn Mooney from United States Coast Guard Academy (Conn.) in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:23.12. The times by Bryson and Mooney established new championship records.

Williams College (Mass.) won this year's team championship with 42 points to slip past Washington University in St. Louis' (Mo.) total of 40.

Rounding out the top 10 teams were George Fox University in third place with 29 points, Loras College in fourth with 26, Nebraska Wesleyan University in fifth with 24, University of Chicago in sixth with 21, Brandeis University and UW-Eau Claire in seventh with 20, University of Rochester (N.Y.) in ninth with 17 and United State Coast Guard Academy in 10th with 16.
