Reichenberger Leads Titans At Midwest ELITE Invitational

Emily Reichenberger improved her national performance ranking in both the 60- and 200-meter dashes as the UW-Oshkosh women's track & field team finished fourth at the Midwest ELITE Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 10) in Whitewater.

Reichenberger defeated 29 other contestants in the 60-meter dash with a winning time of 7.82 seconds and 40 other participants in the 200-meter dash with a first-place effort of 25.46 seconds. Reichenberger now owns this season's fourth-fastest NCAA Division III time in the 200-meter dash and the 12th-fastest mark in the 60-meter dash.

UW-La Crosse won the eight-team meet with 158 points. The Eagles were followed by second-place University of Chicago (Ill.) with 99.5 points, third-place Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.) with 93.5, fourth-place UW-Oshkosh with 82, fifth-place UW-Whitewater with 66 and sixth-place UW-Stevens Point with 53.

UW-Oshkosh scored 27 of its team points in the 200-meter dash. Besides the winning sprint by Reichenberger, the Titans had Olivia Seeley finish third with a time of 26.13 seconds, Lauren Wrensch fourth in 26.46, Sie'anna Mitchell fifth in 26.58 and Taylor Pralle seventh in 26.62.

The Titans owned three second-place listings as Seeley recorded a time of 7.84 seconds in the 60-meter dash, Cheyenne Moore a time of 17:11.97 in the 5,000-meter run and Ellie Infante a measurement of 53-1 3/4 in the 20-pound weight throw. Moore's performance ranks ninth in the country this season and Infante's 19th. 

UW-Oshkosh also received a third-place leap of 18-3 3/4 in the long jump from Wrensch, fifth-place efforts of 9.36 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles from Cara Volz and 38-10 1/2 in the shot put from Kahley Logan, and a sixth-place height of 11-1 in the pole vault by Sydney Rau. Wrensch's distance is the nation's 14th best this season.

UW-Oshkosh hosts its third and final meet of the indoor season next Saturday (Feb. 17) in Kolf Sports Center.
