Division I Phoenix Defeat Titans

UW-Green Bay captured the doubles point and won all six singles matches to defeat the UW-Oshkosh women's tennis team, 7-0, on Friday (April 10) at the Oshkosh YMCA Tennis Center.

The NCAA Division I Phoenix (2-14) earned the doubles point on wins by Olivia Headford and Samm Pedersen in the first flight and Stephanie Londre and Maria Neff in the third. Headford and Pedersen defeated Jessica DeGroot and Llora Waldman, 6-2, while Londre and Neff ousted Hannah Nauth and Jessica Stark, 6-3.

UW-Oshkosh (7-11) took the No. 2 doubles contest as Paige Ganser and Bailey Sagen defeated Rachael Menos and Lauren Miketinac, 6-3.

UW-Green Bay's list of individual winners included Londre in the first flight and Headford in the second. Londre marked a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Sagen while Headford tallied a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over DeGroot.

Pedersen gave the Phoenix a victory in the third flight with her 6-3, 6-1 decision over Waldman.

UW-Green Bay lost only three games in the fifth and sixth flights. Miketinac defeated Stark in the fifth flight, 6-2, 6-0, while Menos ousted Hannah Nauth in the sixth, 6-0, 6-1.

The remaining UW-Green Bay individual winner was Neff in the fourth flight. She posted a 6-1, 6-3 win over Ganser.

UW-Oshkosh returns to the Oshkosh YMCA Tennis Center for a match against Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday (April 11).
