Shorten Named WIAC Swimmer Of The Week

The WIAC selected UW-Oshkosh's Tessa Shorten as its Women's Swimmer of the Week for events held Dec. 4-10.

Shorten won two events during UW-Oshkosh's 129-113 home loss to UW-Stevens Point on Dec. 8.

Shorten earned her first-place finishes by recording freestyle times of 26.23 seconds at 50 yards and 56.30 seconds at 100. She also joined teammates Sydney Challoner, McKinzie Halkola and Jennifer Lutz in posting a winning time of 1:55.97 in the 200-yard medley relay. 

UW-Stevens Point's Jackie Braun was selected as the WIAC's Women's Diver of the Week.
