Challoner Named WIAC Swimmer Of The Week

The WIAC selected UW-Oshkosh's Sydney Challoner as its Women's Swimmer of the Week for events held Oct. 9-15.

Challoner won two events as UW-Oshkosh opened its 2017-18 season with a 157-79 home loss to UW-Eau Claire on Oct. 14.

Challoner took first place in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:04.26 and 1:13.09, respectively. She also swam with McKinzie Halkola, Jennifer Lutz and Alison Panske to record a second-place time of 1:57.11 in the 200-yard medley relay.

UW-Oshkosh's Jennifer Lutz finished second to Challoner in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:04.79 while UW-Eau Claire's Camille Madsen was the runner-up to Challoner in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:15.80. UW-Eau Claire captured first place in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:55.98.

UW-Eau Claire's Bailei Hughes was selected as the WIAC's Women's Diver of the Week.
