Kraus Takes 13th Off The 3-Meter Board At NCAA Regional

UW-Oshkosh's Gabrielle Kraus finished 13th in the 3-meter diving to highlight her performance at the NCAA Division III Central Region Championship held Friday and Saturday (Feb. 24-25) in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Kraus, the lone Titan to qualify for the meet, totaled 393.40 points among the 18 participants in the 3-meter category. She also finished 18th among 19 contestants in the 1-meter division with 366.75 points.

Sarah Bradley of host Calvin College captured the 1-meter diving title with 432.35 points. Allison Fitzgerald of Denison University (Ohio) placed second with 429.95 points while Agnes Lo of University of Chicago (Ill.) finished third with 418.25, Jenna Nagy of St. Catherine University (Minn.) fourth with 417.10 and Kayley Alioto of UW-La Crosse fifth with 413.45.

Off the 3-meter board, Nagy was the winner with 474.60 points. Alioto finished second with 465.25 points while Lo placed third with 461.10, Madeline Woods of Kalamazoo College (Mich.) fourth with 445.30 and Bradley fifth with 442.75.

Kraus, who was appearing in her second regional meet in as many seasons, finished fifth in both the 1- and 3-meter categories at the WIAC Championship held Feb. 16-18 in Brown Deer.

Alioto, Bradley, Fitzgerald, Lo and Nagy will all represent the Central Region at the NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championship on March 15-18 in Shenandoah, Texas.

Other NCAA Division III regional championships were held Friday and Saturday in Cambridge, Mass., Grinnell, Iowa, and Ithaca, N.Y.
