Foresters Record Narrow Victory Over Titans
Katie Challoner, Britney Hilgendorf and Casey Houts each won a race as Lake Forest College prevailed, 100-95, over the UW-Oshkosh women's swimming & diving team on Saturday (Jan. 25) in Lake Forest, Ill.
The Titans' three victories came from Challoner in the 200-meter breaststroke at 2:52.59, Hilgendorf in the 400-meter freestyle at 4:56.92 and Houts in the 800-meter freestyle at 10:09.29.
Hilgendorf added a second-place finish in the 200-meter individual medley (2:41.32), as did Houts in the 200-meter backstroke (2:37.45).
Other runner-up performances came from Carissa Priebusch in the 100-meter freestyle at 1:06.40 and Vanessa Jagodinsky in the 200-meter butterfly at 2:52.24.
UW-Oshkosh listed second in both relays, clocking times of 4:32.71 in the 400-meter freestyle and 4:56.71 in the 400-meter medley.
Hannah Forcey counted a pair of third-place results. She posted a 50-meter freestyle mark of 30.93 and a 200-meter backstroke time of 2:52.94.
The Titans have their final dual meet at Ripon College on Saturday (Feb. 1).
