Titans List Third At UW-Eau Claire Invitational

Katie Challoner counted a win and a second-place time in the breaststroke events as UW-Oshkosh took third at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational on Saturday (Nov. 23) in Eau Claire.

Minnesota State University-Moorhead earned the team title with 745 points. UW-Eau Claire came in second with 637, while the Titans placed third with 199 and UW-River Falls fourth with 64.

Challoner obtained UW-Oshkosh's lone victory with her 1:10.03 in the 100-yard breaststroke.

In the 200-yard breaststroke, Moorhead's Jackie Woods won with a time of 2:32.13. Challoner was right behind with a second-place mark of 2:32.87.

Britney Hilgendorf finished third in the 1,650-yard freestyle at 18:58.88. She then touched the wall sixth in both the 200-yard individual medley at 2:24.24 and the 500-yard freestyle at 5:43.20.

The Titans scored a trio of fifth-place finishes. Sally Hesby tallied 212.50 points in the one-meter dive, while Casey Houts clocked a 19:41.71 in the 1,650-yard freestyle.

UW-Oshkosh had Challoner, Marissa Graff, Vanessa Jagodinsky and Carissa Priebusch collaborate for a fifth-place time of 2:02.50 in the 200-yard medley relay.

The Titans return to action at the Rochester Invitational (Minn.) on Dec. 7-8.
