Titans Capture 10 Events To Sink Buccaneers

UW-Oshkosh won 10 events for a 111-58 victory over the Beloit College women's swimming & diving team on Saturday (Nov. 2) in Albee Hall.

Four Titans came away with two wins each. UW-Oshkosh also won the 400-yard freestyle relay, as Casey Houts, Britney Hilgendorf, Sarah Gee and Sara Keller collaborated for a time of 4:01.99.

Houts counted first-place showings in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:07.55 and the 1,000-yard freestyle at 11:54.10. Hilgendorf then won the 100-yard butterfly at 1:04.12 and the 200-yard freestyle at 2:05.01.

Katie Challoner took a variety of events, posting a 1:10.77 in the 100-yard breaststroke and a 2:24.96 in the 200-yard individual medley.

Both diving competitions went to Sally Hesby. She scored a 248.35 at three meters and a 238.20 at one meter.

Marissa Graff was the final champion, winning the 500-yard freestyle race with a mark of 5:47.13.

UW-Oshkosh returns to action at UW-Whitewater on Nov. 15.
