Titans Win Eight Events In Victory Over Falcons

Britney Hilgendorf won two individual events and a relay race in UW-Oshkosh's 133-81 victory over the UW-River Falls women's swimming and diving team on Saturday (Oct. 19) in River Falls.

The Titans won eight times in their season opener. Hilgendorf gained triumphs in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:41.39 and the 1,000-yard freestyle at 11:36.66. She teamed with Sara Gosline, Carissa Priebusch and Laura Sullivan to take first in the 400-yard freestyle relay with their 4:03.22.

UW-Oshkosh also prevailed in the 200-yard medley relay, with Katie Challoner, Elizabeth Duffey, Hannah Forcey and Vanessa Jagodinsky clocking a time of 2:03.29.

Challoner and Forcey contributed individual wins as well. Challoner posted a 1:10.01 in the 100-yard breaststroke and Forcey a 27.38 in the 50-yard freestyle.

Other Titans to capture an event were Jagodinsky in the 100-yard butterfly at 1:09.39 and Sullivan in the 200-yard individual medley at 2:28.94.

Casey Houts delivered eight points with her second-place finishes in the long freestyle races. She booked times of 5:51.66 at 500 yards and 12:00.41 at 1,000 yards.

UW-Oshkosh has a home meet against Carroll University on Saturday (Oct. 26).
