Titans Battle the Vikings
OSHKOSH, Wis.-- Under the stadium lights, the UW-Oshkosh Titans soccer program battled to a 2-1 loss to the Vikings of Lawrence University.
The Titans defense held the Vikings to eight shots in the contest, while recording 16 shots. Rylie Kaufmann (Jr./St. Charles, Ill), Molly Jackson (So./Appleton), and Mackenzie Bennett (So./Menomonee Falls) were credited with four shots each. Jackson and Bennett had two shots on target.
The Vikings added two goals in the first half (14:11 and 28:50). The Vikings had an own goal at 68:39 to break the stalemate for the Titans.
The Titans continue their homestand as the Spartans of the University of Dubuque are set to visit on Sept. 17. Kick-off is slated for 4 p.m. at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.
