WIAC Soccer Teams “Playing For A Cause”

UW-Oshkosh and the seven other Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) women's soccer programs will participate in a "Playing For A Cause" campaign at one of its home matches during the 2017 season.

This marks the sixth time in the last seven years that the WIAC has conducted the league-wide event for women's soccer.

Each WIAC women's soccer program has selected a "cause" they will support and bring awareness to during a selected home contest.

Below are the eight matches that will have the "Playing For A Cause" theme:

Sept. 30 • UW-Platteville at UW-Eau Claire (PRIDE Program)
Sept. 30 • UW-Oshkosh at UW-River Falls (Play For A Cure)

Oct. 7 • UW-Platteville at UW-Oshkosh (Breast Cancer Awareness)
Oct. 7 • UW-Stevens Point at UW-Stout (Multiple Sclerosis)
Oct. 7 • UW-Eau Claire at UW-Whitewater (Multiple Sclerosis)

Oct. 8 • Concordia University Wisconsin at UW-La Crosse (Children's Miracle Network)

Oct. 21 • UW-Stout at UW-Platteville (Suicide Awareness)

Oct. 22 • Edgewood College at UW-Stevens Point (Mia Hamm Foundation)

Last year, UW-Oshkosh hosted UW-Stout in its "Playing For A Cause" match. The Titans' cause was for pediatric organ donation.
