Titans Mark Convincing Win Over Sabres

UW-Oshkosh owned all 30 shots as it defeated Marian University, 5-0, in a women's soccer match held Monday (Oct. 24) at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.

Five different players scored for the Titans (9-7-1), who connected on two of their 12 shots in the first half and three of their 18 attempts in the second. Robyn Elliott assisted on a pair of UW-Oshkosh goals, one in each period.

Alek Kleis gave UW-Oshkosh a 1-0 lead with a 5-yard kick during the 18th minute (17:52) of play. It was the third goal of the season and the second in as many matches for Kleis.

The Titans doubled their advantage when AJ Jackson scored off a pass from Robyn Elliott during the 29th minute (28:46). Jackson's 10-yard boot marked her fourth goal of the season.

Rachel Elliott made it a 3-0 score by following a pass from Alyssa Arnold with a 15-yard kick during the 49th minute (48:30). The goal was Elliott's fifth of the year.

UW-Oshkosh went ahead 4-0 on Ashley Baalke's first goal of the season during the 76th minute (75:21). Her 15-yard kick followed passes from Robyn Elliott and Maddie Morris.

The Titans closed their scoring on Taylor Arnold's inaugural goal of the season during the 87th minute (86:21). Arnold converted a 15-yard kick after rebounding her previous shot that bounced off the right post.

UW-Oshkosh's season-high shot count included five attempts from Kleis. The Titans also received four shots from Alyssa Arnold and three apiece from Jackson, Taylor Arnold, Rachel Elliott and Robyn Elliott.

UW-Oshkosh goalkeeper Madelyn Runyan recorded her fourth shutout of the season without facing a shot.

Marian University goalkeeper Alysha Kallas saved 12 shots while allowing all five UW-Oshkosh scores.

The Titans had a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks, with the Sabres (4-12) earning both of their opportunities in the second half.

UW-Oshkosh hosts UW-La Crosse on Saturday (Oct. 29) at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium in its final regular-season match.
