Titans Put Foresters Away In Overtime

Kiley Hauck's (Jr. • Hubertus) first collegiate goal kept nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh unbeaten as the Titans posted a 1-0 overtime victory over the Lake Forest College (Ill.) women's soccer team on Saturday (Sept. 8) in Kenosha.

Hauck, who scored on her only shot of the 94-minute contest, ended play with her kick from the top of the box off an assist from Amanda Baalke (So. • Pewaukee). The match featured just four other shots on goal as UW-Oshkosh's Lindsey Collette (Sr. • Green Bay) and Nicole Strieker (Sr. • Janesville) recorded two each.

UW-Oshkosh, which entered the game ranked 22nd in the NCAA Division III by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, attempted 20 shots and earned five corner kicks. The Titans (3-0) launched 10 of their shots in the second period.

UW-Oshkosh had nine players attempt a shot, including Jenna Lahmann who owned six of them and Collette four.

Lake Forest College, which had won all three of its previous meetings with UW-Oshkosh, was limited to just seven shots and one corner kick opportunity. The Foresters (2-2) were led by the three shots of Holly Lesperance.

UW-Oshkosh's Katie Berkopec (Jr. • Apple Valley, Minn.) went without a save opportunity as she notched her second shutout of the season. Clarke University goalkeeper Bri Schleibinger stopped four shots of the Titans, including three in the second half.

UW-Oshkosh remains in Kenosha to take on Clarke University (Iowa) on Sunday (Sept. 9).
