WIAC Selects Alabed As Wrestler Of The Week

UW-Oshkosh's Wesam Alabed was named WIAC Wrestler of the Week for his performance in events held Dec. 11-17.

Alabed won all three of his 133-pound matches as UW-Oshkosh compiled a 1-2 record at the Gator "Boots" Duals held Dec. 16 in Nashville, Tenn.

In UW-Oshkosh's 32-9 victory over Thomas More College (Ky.), Alabed defeated Kenny Byers by a 19-8 score.

During the Titans' 26-19 loss to Heidelberg University (Ohio), Alabed pinned Richard Bogetich at the five-minute mark of the contest.

In UW-Oshkosh's 31-9 setback to Luther College (Iowa), Alabed edged Kyle Clough by a 4-2 result.

Alabed improved his season record to 7-2 with the three victories.
