Three Titans Earn NCGA Senior Scholar Award

UW-Oshkosh had three senior members of its women's gymnastics squad selected to the 2018 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Scholar All-America Team.

Titans Amanda McBrayer, Kasandra Stamopoulos and Krysten Zytniowski were among 52 gymnasts recognized for owning a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00. Each nominee must qualify as a senior student academically and be in her last year of athletic eligibility.

McBrayer, who was named to the 2016-17 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Scholastic Honor Roll, holds a 3.281 GPA as a kinesiology major. She placed eighth in the all-around competition and 17th on the balance beam at the 2018 WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional held March 4 in St. Peter, Minn. McBrayer also finished 15th on the vault and 16th on the balance beam at the 2017 WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional and 15th on the balance beam at the 2015 WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional.

Stamopoulos, who was selected to the 2014-15 & 2015-16 WIAC Scholastic Honor Rolls, possesses a 3.022 GPA as a biology major. She placed 11th on balance beam at the 2018 WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional.

Zytniowski, who was chosen to the 2014-15 and 2016-17 WIAC Scholastic Honor Rolls, owns a 3.250 GPA as a kinesiology major. She competed on the vault at the 2018 WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional.
