Titans Outscored By Warriors

Winona State University surpassed 46 points in all four events to defeat the UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics team, 185.575-181.400, on Friday (Jan. 19) in Winona, Minn.

The Warriors reached their highest team score of the season by totaling 46.85 points in the floor exercise, 46.35 on both the uneven bars and vault, and 46.325 on the balance beam.

UW-Oshkosh, which eclipsed 181 points for the second time in three meets, compiled its team score against the Warriors with 46.05 points on the vault, 45.30 in the floor exercise, 45.10 on the uneven bars and 44.95 on the balance beam. The scores on the uneven bars and vault were season bests for the Titans.

Amanda McBrayer was UW-Oshkosh's lone event winner. She captured first place on the vault with a season-best 9.475 points while taking second place in the all-around competition with 35.675.

The Titans' Amira Ali finished second on the vault with a season-high score of 9.375.

UW-Oshkosh had a trio of third-place finishes as Bailey Finin recorded a score of 9.425 in the floor exercise, Bailee Hardy a mark of 9.35 on the uneven bars and Paige Mayhew a figure of 35.575 in the all-around competition.

The Titans also received a fourth-place score of 9.225 on the balance beam from Baylee Tkaczuk.

UW-Oshkosh concluded its top-six finishes with the sixth-place results from Jessica Bernardo, Dana LoCascio and Kasandra Stamopoulos. Bernardo had 9.225 points in the floor exercise while LoCascio and Stamopoulos had 9.05 points on the balance beam and uneven bars, respectively.

Eboni Jackson won three events for Winona State University. She had winning scores of 36.85 in the all-around competition, 9.775 in the floor exercise and 9.55 on the balance beam. 

The Warriors' Kathryn Pipp achieved first place on the uneven bars with a score of 9.50.

UW-Oshkosh will host UW-La Crosse next Saturday (Jan. 27) in Kolf Sports Center.
