McBrayer Receives WIAC Gymnast Of The Week Award

UW-Oshkosh gymnast Amanda McBrayer was chosen as one of the WIAC's two Athlete of the Week award winners for meets held Jan. 1-7.

McBrayer won the all-around competition and shared first place on the vault as UW-Oshkosh rallied to defeat visiting Hamline University (Minn.), 183.525-183.475, on Jan. 6.

McBrayer compiled 36.95 points in winning the all-around competition. She also placed first on the vault with 9.375 points, fourth on the uneven bars with 9.00 and sixth on the balance beam with 9.40.

McBrayer shared the top listing on the vault with the Pipers' Julia Crysz-DeBoer.

UW-Eau Claire's Kiya Bjorge was selected as the WIAC's top specialist for the week.
