Titans Close Regular Season With Win Over Gusties

UW-Oshkosh swept the top four finishes on the uneven bars to defeat the Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) women's gymnastics team, 182.15-179.30, on Friday (March 6) in Kolf Sports Center.

The Titans totaled 44.425 points on the uneven bars, including a first-place score of 9.30 from Leane Blais. UW-Oshkosh's Krystal Walker finished second with 9.175 points, while Elizabeth Kiel placed third with 9.10 and Courtney Howard fourth with 8.85.

UW-Oshkosh also had three of the top four scorers on the balance beam and the top two in the floor exercise.

On the balance beam, UW-Oshkosh compiled 46.00 points as Walker finished second with 9.475, Kasandra Stamopoulos third with 9.325, Tabitha Dorshorst fourth with 9.125 and Amanda McBrayer sixth with 9.05.

In the floor exercise, the Titans calculated 46.10 points. Walker won the event with 9.45 points, while Danielle Turner finished second with 9.40 and Taylor Ennocenti and Kimberly Robertson fifth with 9.15.

Led by Robertson's second-place score of 9.425, UW-Oshkosh computed 45.625 points on the vault. Walker contributed a third-place value of 9.25 and Ennocenti a sixth-place figure of 9.15.

Walker went on to capture the all-around title with 37.325 points. McBrayer finished fourth with a sum of 34.30 points.

Gustavus Adolphus College's Alexandra Kopp took first place on both the balance beam and vault with scores of 9.525 and 9.45, respectively.

The Gusties reached their overall team score by totaling 46.05 points on the vault, 45.575 on the balance beam, 45.30 in the floor exercise and 42.375 on the uneven bars.

UW-Oshkosh competes at the WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional on March 15 in St. Paul, Minn.
