UW-Oshkosh's Hannah Braun earned her second straight WIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week award for her performance in events held Sept. 3-9.
Braun, who previously received the league's weekly citation for events held Aug. 27-Sept. 2, led UW-Oshkosh for the second straight meet by finishing seventh among 95 golfers at the Wartburg College Invitational held Sept. 8-9 in Waverly, Iowa.
Braun tallied 150 strokes (6-over-par) by counting 75 strokes on both days of the tournament. She previously placed 10th at the tournament in 2017 and 13th in 2016.
Grinnell College's (Iowa) Vidushi Sinha won the individual title with 147 strokes (3-over-par), one attempt better than the second-place scores of 148 (4-over-par) turned in by Abby Euyang and Ayumi Sakamoto of Carleton College (Minn.).
UW-Oshkosh finished third in the 16-team meet with 618 strokes (42-over-par) while Carleton College won its third straight Wartburg College Invitational with 593 (17-over-par). The Knights defeated Grinnell College by 20 strokes as the Pioneers placed second with a score of 613 (37-over-par).
