WIAC Names Braun Golfer Of The Week

UW-Oshkosh's Hannah Braun was selected as the WIAC Women's Golfer of the Week after winning the individual title in a 12-team tournament the Titans hosted Sept. 2-3 at the Oshkosh Country Club.

Braun, a third-place finisher a year ago, won this year's UW-Oshkosh Titan Classic by five strokes over Illinois Wesleyan University's Maggie Warrner. Braun captured her first collegiate victory with 155 strokes (9-over-par) while Warrner finished second with 160.

Braun recorded a tournament-low 73 strokes during the second round after totaling 82 in the first. She led all players with 21 pars and shared this year's top listing for birdies with four.

Defending WIAC champion UW-Stout totaled 666 strokes to end UW-Oshkosh's two-year reign as champion of the UW-Oshkosh Titan Classic. UW-Oshkosh finished second with 675 strokes and Illinois Wesleyan University third with 678.
