Porath Chosen As WIAC Basketball Athlete Of The Week

The WIAC has named UW-Oshkosh guard Leah Porath as its Kwik Trip Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.

Porath earned her latest award for games played Nov. 25 - Dec. 1. She previously received recognition during the week of Nov. 11-17.

Porath averaged 24 points and eight rebounds during UW-Oshkosh victories of 85-42 over Alma College (Mich.) on Nov. 25 and 88-45 over Lawrence University on Dec. 1.

Porath compiled 48 points in the two games by shooting 60.6 percent (20-33) from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 at the free throw line. She made 4 of 8 (50 percent) 3-point shots while totaling 16 rebounds (14 defensive), two assists and two steals.

In UW-Oshkosh's road win over Alma College, Porath scored a career-best 29 points with eight rebounds, two assists and one steal. Porath shot 12 of 19 from the field, 3 of 5 behind the 3-point arc and 2 of 2 at the free throw line during her 33 minutes of action.

In the Titans' home win over Lawrence University, Porath compiled 19 points and eight rebounds during her 25 minutes of activity. She shot 8 of 14 from the field, 1 of 3 behind the 3-point line and 2 of 2 at the free throw stripe.
