Titans To ‘Pack The Stands’ For National Girls & Women In Sports Day

The UW-Oshkosh Athletics Department, in conjunction with the UW-Oshkosh Women's Center, will host "Pack The Stands" at the Titans women's basketball game Wednesday (Feb. 7), in honor of National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD).

UW-Oshkosh plays UW-Whitewater at 7 p.m. at Kolf Sports Center for "Pack The Stands." The Titans and Warhawks are currently tied for first in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) standings.

NGWSD is a day to celebrate the extraordinary achievements in girls' and women's sports and the positive influence athletic participation brings to their lives. NGWSD recognizes the ongoing effort toward equality and access for women in sports and the nation's commitment to expand sport and participation opportunities for all girls and future generations.

In honor of the 32nd Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day, all females wearing athletic uniforms or team gear will receive free admission to the game. Fans will also have the opportunity to create signs, showcasing why sports are important to them. Clash and UW-Oshkosh Titan tattoos will be available and the first 500 UW-Oshkosh students will receive a Titan fleece scarf.
