Clare Robbe, WIAC Student-Athlete Spotlight

Each week during the 2017-18 academic year, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will feature two student-athletes (one male and one female) from one of its eight institutions for a "Student-Athlete Spotlight" Q & A segment. The segments, presented by Culver's, will be also posted every Thursday on the WIAC website.

Name: Clare Robbe
Institution: UW-Oshkosh

Year in school: Senior
Sport: Softball
Major(s): Human Services

Why did you choose to attend UW-Oshkosh?
I chose UW-Oshkosh because I loved Coach Beyer and Coach Anderson. Right away they showed me the importance of team and family. I knew it was an atmosphere I could fit in with. I also chose UW-Oshkosh because my sister went here. She was able to show me around campus, where I was able to see that it wasn't too small or too overwhelming. From the gate I knew UW-Oshkosh was the school for me.

What do you like most about competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference?
I love the competitiveness of the conference. Within the WIAC there really is no team you can take lightly. The conference also feels tight-knit. For example, if a team in our conference would be competing in the playoffs, we would be rooting for them. We take pride in the ability of the other WIAC competitors.
