Chadwick To Run At NCAA Championship

Junior Cody Chadwick has been selected to represent UW-Oshkosh at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championship that will be held Saturday (Nov. 23) in Louisville, Ky.

Chadwick, who finished 67th at last year's national championship hosted by UW-Oshkosh at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, earned one of 56 at-large berths into this year's 8,000-meter race that starts at 10:45 a.m. (EST) from E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.

Chadwick secured his opportunity to compete in Saturday's national championship after finishing 11th among 252 runners at the Midwest Regional held last Saturday (Nov. 16) at the Lake Breeze Golf Club.

Chadwick has run in six races for UW-Oshkosh this fall, including the WIAC Championship, where he finished eighth. He also won the UW-Parkside Vic Godfrey Open while placing 25th at UW-Eau Claire's Blugold, 26th at University of Minnesota's Roy Griak and 27th at UW-Oshkosh's Kollege Town Sports invitationals.

Seven-member squads from North Central College (Ill.), University of Chicago (Ill.), UW-La Crosse, UW-Stout and Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.) will also represent the Midwest Region in both the individual and team competition in Louisville.
