Bio

Logan Kimmel is in his first season as an assistant track & field and cross country coach at UW-Oshkosh.

Kimmel comes to UW-Oshkosh after spending the past two years as an assistant track & field and cross country coach at Benedictine University (Ill.).

Coaching the middle-distance runners, Kimmel helped the Benedictine University men’s track & field team capture Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) indoor and outdoor titles in both 2016 and 2017. He also helped numerous men and women set school and facility track & field records for the Eagles.

In Kimmel’s first season at Benedictine University, the men’s team won their first NACC indoor and outdoor titles while the women’s squad nearly doubled their point total from the previous indoor and outdoor championships.

During the 2017 season, Benedictine University repeated as the NACC men’s indoor and outdoor champion. The Eagles achieved their first top 25 national ranking before finishing fourth at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship. The Benedictine University women finished third at both the NACC indoor and outdoor championships for the second straight year.

In cross country, Kimmel helped Benedictine University finish third in the men’s division and fourth in the women’s category at the 2016 NACC Championship. In 2015, Benedictine University earned NACC finishes of fourth for the women and fifth for the men.

Kimmel competed in track & field and cross country for Bethel College (Ind.) from 2012-15. The Fort Wayne, Ind., native was a member of teams that scored points at four National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics indoor and outdoor championships.

Kimmel graduated from Bethel College in 2015.
