Titans Place Fourth At NCAA Outdoor Championship

McKena Ramos won the 1,500-meter run, as UW-Oshkosh took fourth at the NCAA Division III Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship from May 22-24 in Delaware, Ohio.

The University of Mount Union (Ohio) earned the team title with 47 points. UW-La Crosse finished second with 42, while North Central College listed third with 35 and the Titans fourth with 27.

Ramos posted a time of 3:47.83 in his victory, breaking the stadium record. He is the first Titan to win a national title in the 1,500-meter run.

UW-Oshkosh had five other men record an All-America finish. Corey Wilch clocked a 52.10 for fourth place in the 400-meter hurdles, while Naji Allan booked a 10.71 for sixth in the 100-meter dash.

The Titans finished sixth in the 1,600-meter relay, with Wilch, Brian Beaudo, Mike Servais and Reid Zanoya combining for a time of 3:13.66. The team established a school record with 3:12.26 in the preliminaries.

During the 5,000-meter race, Sean Kutz used 14:32.54 for seventh. Ramos also contributed a seventh-place result of 1:53.58 in the 800-meter run.

Eighth-place performances came from Jeremy Brandt (53-6.5) in the shot put and Jordan Carpenter (9:09.70) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

This was UW-Oshkosh's 12th consecutive top-10 finish at the meet.
