Titans Clobber Sabres

UW-Oshkosh lost only four of 96 games as it squashed the Marian University men's tennis team, 9-0, on Saturday (March 7) at the Oshkosh YMCA Tennis Center.

The Titans (2-6) established the tempo early by winning two of the three doubles contests by 8-0 scores. Vincent Gorski and Adam Martin won every game against Spencer Braswell and Jose Valencia in the first flight while Jordan Andersen and David Leffler repeated the performance against Connor Morovits and Zachary Stanczyk in the third.

UW-Oshkosh's No. 2 doubles tandem of Austin Laumb and Logan Zastrow defeated Sam Maetzold and Payton Trammel, 8-1.

The Titans continued their domination of the Sabres (0-1) in singles play as Aidan Sauberlich, Leffler and Andersen all won by 6-0, 6-0 results. Sauberlich defeated Braswell in the second flight while Leffler ousted Trammel in the fourth and Andersen conquered Morovits in the sixth.

UW-Oshkosh collected a pair 6-0, 6-1 victories from Gorski and Laumb. Gorski was the winner over Maetzold in the third flight while Laumb was the victor over Stanczyk in the fifth.

Mike Gillespie concluded UW-Oshkosh's list of individual winners with his 6-1, 6-0 victory over Valencia in the first flight.

UW-Oshkosh returns to the Oshkosh YMCA Tennis Center on Sunday (March 8) for a match against the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
