Seremet and Jurva Claim First Place Finishes

OSHKOSH, Wis.—Damen Seremet and Joey Jurva each claimed two first place finishes as the UW-Oshkosh Titans men's swimming and diving squad fell to Carthage College, 184.5-78.5.

Seremet took the top spot in the 100 breaststroke, timing in at 1:03.80. Seremet would claim the top spot in the 400 IM with a time of 4:53.36.

Jurva claimed first place in the 1-meter diving, recording a score of 190.95. On the 3-meter boards, Jurva led all competitors with a score of 202.80 and set a new season best dive score.

CJ Willert swam to a second place finish in the 100 backstroke, clocking in at 57.63.

In the 50 freestyle, Chase Millam and Ben Knoeck went 2-3 with times of 23.64 and 24.05. Drew Davis finished in a tie for fourth place with a time of 24.22.

Hayden Freeman competed in the 200 butterfly for the Titans, clocking in at 2:26.89 and a new season best.

Milliam grabbed a top-5 finish in the 100 freestyle with a time of 52.39.

Andrew Copeland finished in the top-5 in the 100 butterfly for a new season best time of 59.40. 

In the 200 medley relay, Willert, Seremet, Copeland, and Davis swam to a runner-up finishing time of 1:42.40. Knoeck, Millam, Willert, and Seremet combined for a time of 1:31.76 in the 200 freestyle relay, finishing in first place. The Titans time in the 200 medley relay is a season best time.

Ethan DeGroot competed in the 1000 freestyle, clocking in at 12:14.29 for the Titans. Competing in the second distance event of the afternoon, DeGroot timed in at 5:58.15 in the 500 freestyle. DeGroot set new season best times in both the 500 and 1000 freestyles for the Titans.
