WIAC Selects Wilke As Diver Of The Week

UW-Oshkosh's Matt Wilke was named the WIAC Men's Diving Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.

Wilke, who previously earned the league's top diving award for the periods of Oct. 15-21 and Nov. 5-11, picked up his latest accolade for meets held Nov. 26-Dec. 2.

Wilke finished third with 423.95 points in the 1-meter diving and fourth with 409.40 points in the 3-meter diving at the Carthage College Classic held Nov. 29-Dec. 1.

Heath Ogawa of Lake Forest College (Ill.) won both diving events after compiling 470.20 points in the 1-meter category and 480.35 in the 3-meter division. A total of 11 divers participated in each section.

UW-Oshkosh placed seventh in the 10-team meet with 861 points. Carthage College won the team title with 2,960.5 points while UW-Whitewater finished second with 2,197.5.

UW-La Crosse's Jacob Burchfield was chosen as the WIAC's Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week.
