Warhawks Overpower Titans

UW-Whitewater won all 13 events in a 198.5-30.5 victory over the UW-Oshkosh men's swimming and diving team on Friday (Nov. 14) in Albee Hall.

UW-Oshkosh received second-place finishes from Zach Hogan in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.22 and Tyler Shircel in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:44.02.

The Titans also posted second-place relay times of 3:57.30 in the 400-yard medley and 3:44.17 in the 400-yard freestyle.

UW-Oshkosh's Grady Hilgendorf and Myles Taylor both placed third in two events. Hilgendorf recorded efforts of 4:55.39 in the 400-yard individual medley and 11:01.25 in the 1,000-yard freestyle, while Taylor registered performances of 58.02 in the 100-yard butterfly and 5:18.26 in the 500-yard freestyle.

The Titans' Andrew Doyle finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.85.

Placing fourth for UW-Oshkosh were Andrew Bores in the 50-yard freestyle and Brandon Davison in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 24.13 and 2:03.23, respectively.

UW-Oshkosh will practice until it competes at the Rochester Invitational on Dec. 6-7 in Rochester, Minn.
