Red Hawks Pull Out Win Over Titans

Ripon College produced five individual and two relay first-place finishes as it defeated the UW-Oshkosh men's swimming & diving team, 101-90, on Saturday (Feb. 1) in Ripon.

UW-Oshkosh won four individual events, including a pair by Dalton Anderson. Anderson swam to first-place times of 1:49.19 in the 200-yard freestyle and 5:09.35 in the 500-yard freestyle.

The Titans' Andrew Bores took first place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.02 seconds and Bryan Stoffel first in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a mark of 11:35.99. Stoffel also finished third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 24.87 seconds.

UW-Oshkosh's Jacob Casper and Sam Green both ranked second in one event and third in another. Casper finished second in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:45.18 and third in the 100-yard breaststroke with an effort of 1:03.66. Green placed second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.87 seconds and third in the 50-yard freestyle with a performance of 24.87 seconds.

Other second-place finishes went to the Titans' Grant Henke, Zach Hogan and Patrick Keleny. Henke posted a time of 5:36.84 in the 400-yard individual medley, while Hogan recorded a mark of 57.48 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke. Keleny swam to a time of 24.18 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle.

UW-Oshkosh's Evan DuVall contributed a third-place time of 5:45.66 in the 500-yard freestyle.

The Titans placed second in both relays as Casper, Henke, Keleny and Lawrence Crement marked a time of 1:54.63 in the 200-yard medley, while Green, Stoffel, Elliott Bartheld and Nick Baus compiled a time of 1:41.87 in the 200-yard freestyle.

UW-Oshkosh is off until it competes at the WIAC Championship on Feb. 20-22 in Brown Deer. The event will be held at the Schroeder Aquatic Center.
